#BluePit

A BlueSky exclusive writer hype/pitch event designed for writers to uplift and encourage one another and connect with industry professionals. All works are welcome, regardless of the stage they are in (e.g., Drafting, Editing, Querying, On Submission, or Published).

Why #BluePit?

Pitch events are a key way for writers to start building an online audience, finding and supporting other writers, and connecting with publishing professionals like Literary Agents & Editors. With the recent change to Twitter's (Now 'X') Terms of Service to remove the opt-out option your content being used to train their AI algorithm, much of the writing community has begun to switch to BlueSky.As pitch events are both fun and useful for our industry, we have decided to host the first BlueSky exclusive event open to writers of all genres!

WHEN

Jan 13th 2025

12 AM - 12 AM EST

We will be hosting the inaugural event on January 13th 2025.This time has been chosen because many Literary Agents & Editors return from vacations and start digging into queries in February, so if an agent or publisher expresses interest, a writer will be in a prime position to query them.

    Things To Include

There are three key things you want to convey: the story, the elements, and the vibes. Try different things and find what resonates with people. You can have 3 pitches for the same WIP.And remember, it's not a science. Have fun with it! Below is a list of different ways people share the three elements of a pitch.
